Toffac Ingranaggi S.p.A. was founded at Pontelongo in 1962 with the aim of carrying out highly specialised production of gears and transmission parts. Well aware of the fact that it was essential to provide customers with a technologically advanced product at competitive prices, Toffac’s principal objectives always included Quality and Technological innovation, the rationalisation of equipment and a complete set of tools. To enlarge the range of the company’s products, in 1977 Toffac moved to its present premises at Piove di Sacco, on a site more suitable for its increasing need of space, so as to guarantee adequate possibilities for expansion in the future. The optimisation of the production cycle, through the detailed study of the work cycle and definition of the control plans of the individual work phases, ensures the Toffac product of a high quality standard appreciated by costumers and demonstrated by several decades of close collaboration with them. The careful choice of materials used and the excellent collaboration with some of the most prestigious companies in the field of press-forgings and heat treatments guarantee the complete safety of Toffac’s products also from the metallurgical and mechanical standpoint.
Toffac’s present production concerns spur and helical gears, shaved or ground on the involute, straight and spiral bevel gears, the latter made with Gleason and Oerlikon systems, annulus gears, transmission shafts, axle shafts, sprockets, beveloid gears, etc.
The gears produced are applied mainly on axles, gearboxes, power transmissions, textile machines, heavy vehicles, agricultural machines, etc. Toffac holds ISO 9002 certification, demonstrating that quality plays a role of primary importance in the company policy, the main objective of which is the complete and constant identification and satisfaction of customers' requirements. Toffac has always had a strongly international character, to the extent that, in 1999, exports accounted for 80% of the companiey’s total turnover. The company’s continuos preference for making new investments in production and in quality matters have enabled Toffac to become a sure point of reference in the field of gears at European level.
